As the water level receded through the catch basin drain pipe, a LOUD gurgling could be heard coming from the dam. We all saw the water gushing out of the cavity of the hole for the original drain valve at the same time. I think we were all torn between fascination at what we were seeing and the urge to run as fast as we could. Fortunately it was just the water filling the cavity bubbling out.
