Heinkel HE-162 Salamander at the Wings of Eagles Museum in Horseheads, NY. This particular example is an outstanding replica of the original German WWII jet fighter Heinkel HE-162 Salamander 120086 at the Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa, Canada. It is currently dissasembled in the Annex and in poor condition.

This particular example has been traded to Aero Vintage Ltd. in England since these images were taken in 2003. I was sorry to see it go as it was in much better shape than the remaining HE-162 that is currently on display in pieces in the Canada Aviation Museum's Annex. The web page Aero Vintage LTD has up has no reference to the German WWII jet or its condition. This is HE-162 airframe number 120076.
