Bike Trails & Recreation Paths
These pages comprise photos and some details of Bike Paths in North Jersey, Vermont, Ottawa, New York, New Hampshire and Maine. Almost all are recreational paths only with no motor vehicles to deal with. Swan's Island and Schoodic Point in Maine are both road trips, but with very little traffic. The Columbia Valley recreational path has 2 short road detours, and the Sussex Rail Trail has 3 I think. I wanted to put this together for people who wanted to get out and bike and not have to deal with the hassle and safety issues of riding on the road. The surroundings are also quite pretty in spots and most are very lightly travelled. On a weekday biking the Paulinskill Valley Recreation Path I saw 5 other bikes in 40 miles of riding. |
