11 Beaver Nose Gear

The way the nose gear on the DeHavilland Beaver's floats retract is interesting. The gear arm swings up to a horizontal position then the whole thing is retracted rearwards so only the wheel itself sticks out. The wheel is free castoring and normally points in the other direction, but when this photo was taken it had been pushed backwards into the hangar.
