The cable operated pushrod at right opeated a clamshell assembly that rotated downward to cover the rear facing hole. This would force the water jet down and forward for reverse thrust to go backwards or stop. It is missing on this boat. One of the volunteers said that a few years ago another volunteer offered to refurbish them and removed them both. Unfortunately he dropped out of sight after that and they have been unable to contact him. If you know of or have a set of clamshell thrust reversers for a Jacuzzi Jet Drive, please contact the museum directly. The staff would be delighted to get an other set.
