I could find no other information about this weapon but the info placard states: "An early test model liquid propellant cannon, developed at the Watervliet Arsenal to study variables at high pressures and make possible caseless firing, particularly in tank cannon. Research was directed towards meeting the demands for high muzzle velocities, stowage space limitations, increased rate of fire and reducing tank vulnerablity." SN: F3231/LP-T231E2
