The image to the right is courtesy Mark Koziol of the Watervliet Arsenal Museum. It shows the 37mm Vigilante T250 system as it was delivered to the museum. Mark explained "Unfortunately, during the mid 1990s, the well meaning curator at the time dismantled the 37mm gun for cleaning and restoration but did not finish the job because of his untimely death. The dismantled gun pieces are still at the museum in collections storage". When I visited in December of 2012 only the gun platform was on display.

This is an experimental weapon that did not reach production. One of the problems that came up during testing was that if more than 7 48 round bursts were fired the chambers would become hot enough that the subsequent rounds would cook off in the chamber.
