11 The Piston Is Dead Award

This amusing piston in a casket to Andrew Wilgoos, the co-designer of the original Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial engine to commemorate the demise of the piston engine in the late 1940s by his fellow engineers at Pratt.

Had someone whacked the powers at be of Curtiss Wright with one of these back then they might still be in the aircraft engine business as too.
