Actually these are two restored 135mm Heavy Mortars. One is a casement gun in the side of Bock 8 that the volunteers swivel and elevate under power. The other is a powered turret. The guide showed us the controls for raising and lowering the turret, then she turned on the power, raised it, rotated it, then dropped it back down. After we saw the operation from the inside we walked outside and hiked up to the top of the bunker and we got to see them do it again from the outside. It was pretty neat!
